Best Season – mid May – mid June and mid Sep to end Nov
Garhwal is known for its four Himalayan Shrines which are visited by people from different parts of India. Among the four Shrines Kedarnath (ancient temple of Shiva), Gangotri (Temple of Mother Goddess Ganga) are of utmost importance. We enjoy a spectacular view of Himalayan peaks, specially in Tapovan which has a majestic presence of Shivling (6543 m), apart from an amphitheatrical view of other peaks. The trek also provides an insight of Hindu religion and its culture. Haridwar and Rishikesh, situated on the banks of river Ganga are another two important religious places where we visit some Ashrams, Sadhus and Yoga Centres. Rishikesh is comparable to Varanasi in a smaller scale in terms of its exoticism.
