India has emerged as a popular destination amongst adventure lovers.
Largely the Indian Himalaya consists of Jammu & Kashmir, Eastern Karakoram, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Sikkim and Arunachal, some of the highest peaks of the world are in India.
The third highest mountain, Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586 m) is in Sikkim.
There are several peaks which are above 7000 m and a few of them are still unclimbed. A large number of peaks between 6000 m to 7000 m are challenging and still remain to be explored.
A large part of North and North-eastern India has mountainous terrain which offer some of the most alluring and exhilarating treks ranging from easy and moderate to challenging grades.
Time stands still when you explore the magic and mystery in the beauty of quaint high-altitude villages, their vibrant culture, rare Himalayan birds and animals and breathtaking carpets of alpine flowers.
There is an opportunity for every kind of adventure lover.
