    Day 01:ARRIVE IN INDIA

    For the Bhutan tour, the starting point is Siliguri, a bustling town in East india. Bagdogra airport, 16 kms from Siliguri, is well connected with New Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati. You may choose any of these airports as your arrival destination in India and take a domestic flight to Siliguri the next day.

    Day 02:ARRIVE IN SILIGURI

    Upon your arrival at our designated hotel in Siliguri, we give you the Royal Enfield motorcycle that you will be riding for the rest of the tour. We go out for a short spin and return back to the hotel for the tour briefing. The mechanic will make any adjustments that you require.

    Day 03:SILIGURI TO PHUNTSHOLING

    Today we kick-start the Bhutan tour on a smooth National Highway that passes through paddy and tea plantations. After 150 kms, it is Kuzuzampola Bhutan! While but a gate separates Bhutan from India, your senses will register the difference between the two countries instantly.

    Day 04: PHUNTSHOLING TO PARO

    As soon as we leave Phuntsholing, the serene mountains of Bhutan greet us. The ride will take us through mesmerizing landscapes, forested mountains and lush valleys. The architecture of buildings in Bhutan is striking and will immediately capture your attention. As we close in towards Paro, the roads become broader and straighter. The view of prayer flags and three pagodas at Chuzom where the Paroriver meets the Thimphu river marks our entry into Paro valley.

    Day 05: PARO TO THIMPHU

    The early part on the day is reserved to visit some historic buildings. The National museum is a must-visit and we also ride to a point from where we can see the Tiger's Nest monastery. Post lunch, we leave for Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan. Thimphu's the only place that offers a feel of city life in Bhutan. In the evening, we ride to the biggest statue of Buddha in the world, overlooking Thimphu.

    Day 06:THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA VIA DOCHU LA

    The day starts with a vist to the Memorial Chorten in the heart of the town. TashichhoDzong (dzong means castle), is a must-visit too. After a taste of city life, we ride east. Nature in all its forms welcomes us, and also Dochu la pass at 10,171 feet. The highlight of the day is the ancient PunakhaDzong,.

    Day 07:PUNAKHA TO TRONGSA

    The road towards Trongsa is initially flat and then it starts climbing towards Pele la Pass at a height of 12,210 ft. The descent is marked by muddy roads where reconstruction/ widening of roads is underway.

    Day 08:TRONGSA TO CHAMKHAR, BUMTHANG

    and down two mountain passes. Conifer trees, beautiful mountain vistas and quaint villages en route will have you in disbelief. If we were to vote for one of the best riding routes in the word, we would recommend this one without batting an eyelid.

    Day 09:BUMTHANG TO MONGAR

    The day starts early today since we have a long distance to cover. We cross Sertang la pass (11,778 ft) and descend to Ura, a picturesque village. As we enter the National Park, we ride through overhanging cliffs and cedar trees before reaching Thrumshing la Pass (12,303 ft).

    Day 11:MONGAR TO TRASHIGANG

    The day begins with a beautiful sunrise view from the top of the hill at Mongar. Post breakfast, we start our journey through blue pine forests on a road clinging to one side of the cliff. This leads us to Kori la pass at a height of 7,840 ft through dense a forest of Rhododendron trees.

    Day 12:TRASHIGANG TO SAMDRUP JONGHKAR

    The ride today marks the last day of Bhutan , it offers up a few more surprises. The road indeed puts one in a trance. Views here are captured better in memory than on film.

    Day 13:SAMDRUP JONGHKAR TO GUWAHATI|

    We start early today and after completing the immigration formalities at the border, enter back into India and say bye-bye to Bhutan. The journey on the plains is easy on the motorcycle.

    Day 14:DEPART FROM GUWAHATI

    Depart from Guwahati for onwards journey.
